I know this is pretty off topic but: Hesperus - can you post some pics of your Silvia?

haha... no problem! i love that little car!

here's a pic taken just today, coincidentally...

and here are two old videos, before i painted it white.

Video 1 - being chased round the track by my buddy in an Evo (its an 8, not a 9, as i erroneously indicated in the video) -- video HERE

Video 2 - chasing another friend's STi 'round the track -- video HERE

engine is basically stock, except for slight boost up to 1 bar, using just an Apex'i AFC for the tuning. Tein monotube coilovers, various chassis braces, and Project Mu rotors with Endless CCX brake pads. Hmm what else... a Nismo short shift kit and Recaro racing seat.

That's pretty much it... though i've got a bigger turbine on the shelf, which will probably go in sometime next year. aiming for a reasonable 350whp, from current 230(ish) whp...

Awesome! Thanks for the pic and vids. Cool to see someone with cars like the RT12 appreciate the "little guys" like the S14.

I just recently got rid of a Sil-eighty:

and picked up a '97 240sx, no SR20 tho

GREAT photos! your SX is an S14, similar to mine, except we got the SR20DET here though. mine was an auto, so i had to convert it to manual tranny to enjoy it properly.

oh speaking of "little guys"... its not in my sig, but i actually also have a HONDA CIVIC, that i acquired last year for track work!

i don't understand some people's brand snobbery. i got the Civic because it is a great platform, fun as hell, and while FWD dynamics may not be as entertaining or challenging as RWD, my thinking is, if you're truly an enthusiast, you won't care what badge it has, as long as it is well engineered and fun.

its a '95 EG hatchback with a B16B Type-R swap, integra Type-R suspension, and just some F/R camber plates. horribly silly paintjob coz the kid i bought it from had it that way. but i decided to leave it, coz its good to have a sense of humor!

you really don't need 500+ HP to have fun!

here's a vid of the car (in-car)-- click HERE

yup, took the RT12 up to around 218mph (GPS verified and on our crappy pump gas) earlier this year. i actually have that on video, but never got around to uploading it. its quite a shaky video, as it was my passenger's handheld camera.

trouble for speeding... you can usually talk your way out of it... or get a slap on the wrist... or a less than $20 fine (already considered a very expensive ticket in this country)...

I love the Philippines!

that must be pretty cool to drive without looking over your shoulder as much.
