Cgt kw suspension

We would like to hear from an owner with this system as well as anyone with any experience with this specific installation....it would be very helpful in making a choice. thanks Mark

No users out there??

Wow, I would have thought there would be a least a few enthusiastic commentators on the system....that's weird

really? i'm surprised you posted as i would think no one on this board would have bought one. i would suspect they've sold only 1-2 systems world wide.

I don't think the Ohlins suspension are hydraulically controllable like the KW system.

Being able to adjust height, yet still have more performance than the factory suspension is quite the accomplishment! I am impressed with KW.

I'll try to get some feedback from a friend.

No offense guys, why would you want to upgrade the factory suspension to KW? I thought CGT factory suspension is one of the best already

why change such a good suspension?

GOOD QUESTIONS-Here's my point. I've had experience with a setup configured in Germany. I have another CGT for this setup now.....KW is a large company that can supply necessary components as they wear (I would assume). My clients must get a good return and I must be able to ALWAYS service what I install.
I don't believe that this is superior? cannot tell yet, though what is superior is the ability to drive a CGT with LESS worry about the road surface irregularities that we all encounter, in particular the N.E. (NYC).
You may raise car to get to a better surface such as a Highway, that's about it. NOW, the price...well that is another story:-) Mark

I've sold a lot of KW's for the BMW 3 series, mercedes, and audi. A lot of them leak (shock/struts) after about 15k to 30k (depending on the drop). In my opinion, bilstein, ohlins and moton makes the best aftermarket coilover kit.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" - I can't find anything wrong with the stock suspension on my CGT and that applies to both street and track days. And the lift feature seems very Lambo/Audi to me...I don't need a lift kit to maneuver my GT3RS, F40, or Scuderia with relative ease over driveway ramps so this would be solving a problem I don't have or meeting a need that I don't perceive.

don't shoot the messenger

I agree with u! It's fairly obvious that your access to good roads immediately outside your home is great. This client doesn't have that immediacy as u. As a "hard core" in this, I work at staying within the OEM principles, whenever possible, on all systems. My client, also has toys similar to yours in addition to CGT. Having driving near his home, there are some potentially dangerous spots. I am definitely not happy with changing shocks and springs made by reputable OEM suppliers either.
Rapidly leaking shocks would not make my client nor myself happy, alas, back to Germany, I think? thanks for input anyway-Mark

it's not that one needs to "upgrade", it's that the stock suspension is not adjustable. any SERIOUS track effort requires adjustability. for the guy that only dabbles (track days and such), like you said the gain will be minimal as the stock suspension is dialed well and the sway bar is adjustable to manage the car's balance.

the main point of the KW kit though is the on-the-fly ride height adjustment. i just drove a gallardo with this feature -- must ... have ... it.
