RSR Individulal Throttle Bodies - Pics

Here are a few pics of the RSR throttle bodies being fitted to my 3.8 motor. We are also installing the lightweight water pump and alternator. The combination saves 25lbs from the motor.

I finally received the Cup S rear bumper too.

Any preliminary estimates on anticipated hp gains with the 6 TB set up?
I will PM you regarding TB's, associated other components and costs.

Thank you

The unrestricted throttle bodies should net a 30hp gain without any other changes. However they are part of a complete package that we decided upon to acheive 475RWHP with a life of 60 hours.

The package consist of

3.8 liter 12:1 compression
2008 Cup camshafts
Custom headers w/o cats
RSR throttle bodies
Unrestricted CF plenum
Motec ECU

The other job that we are doing right now while the motor is out is to strip every piece of factory wire from the car. A custom lightweight harness was mapped out and constructed. A Motec ECU and ADL3 dash are being installed as well as a new CF dash to replace the factory dash.

I am hoping with all of these changes the weight should be 150-200lbs less than a factory 997 Cup.

Hi Alex,

Thanks, you are too kind

We are using an unrestricted RSR CF plenum and manifold pressure sensors as opposed to throttle position sensor. The $%#*^#& MAF and drive by wire are long gone!

Ah seriously.. when people do things that everyone else scratches their head and says "Why, it doesn't make sense, you can just do this, that or the other...", you know you're on the right track hehe. I just think it's cool that underneath all of the work you've done you basically took a GT3 right off of the show floor and tracked it out!

Very cool. Straight, clean and proper air and yes no more drive by wire naffness either.
