@#%$#~!

Ok. I didn't even want to mention this... but, I got a small rock ding in the roof on the way home from Carlsbad to Scottsdale on Thursday. Needless to say I am pissed, but determined to fix it.

First stop is a paintless dent repair place. Anyone ever try a paintless dent repair place to fix a roof panel dent in a non-sunroof 996?

P.S. I know it sounds odd for a racer to care about a little ding. But, I'm kind of bipolar. I race cars that I am prepared to push off a cliff. But, for my street cars, I'm a little fanatic about appearance. It's like a supermodel with a zit... You just have to fix it! LOL.

You didn't get clearbra for the roof? Helps keeps tree sap and bird poop off the paint if nothing else.

I feel for ya. Never used a "painless" dent removal service.

Paintless dent guys need to be able to access the dent from behind. If that access is available, it should be a fairly simple job. Good luck.

Eddie, you could be right!?

As it turns out, the paintless dent guy fixed it. So, it's as good as new.

My guess is one of two things happened. Either the guys at the clear bra place did it, and just didn't want to tell me. I was in such a hurry to hit the road that I wouldn't have noticed.

The other possibility is that my 3 year old did it when I went in the house for the windex... He might have flipped the hose up there on the roof???

Then again, there's the wife who thinks that cars are like appliances. And that it's ok to put crap up on top of them.... Usually I put a think blanket over the car cover when I leave the car home... But, that day, I just left the car cover on with no blanket...

Oh well. I'll just make sure to be more paranoid in the future and avoid all three of these scenarios to the extent possible.

You need to build a separate garage that only you can enter.

Collin, you read my mind! We are building a house in Carlsbad right now, and that is exactly what I am doing!
