My GT2 Arrives next month...should I get it?
Hey guys...The GT2 I ordered back in October is finally on the ship. It should arrive here by mid March. The only problem is, although I've wanted the car for quite some time, now that the new GT3 pics and information is out, as well as new spy photos of the new 998 are out, I'm having some second thoughts.
Would it be wise to buy a brand new 09 GT2 next month, or should I go with any of the other options in the poll above. The deposit I paid to order the car ($17k) is refundable, so thats not an issue.
Obviously, I know each of the above mentioned cars are different from each other, and each has a unique aspect to it. However, I'm still interested in all of them.
I need some help!

Get the GT2, drive it until the GT3 RS arrives, drive it. If you don't like it more then the GT2 keep it.

First off, you want the car. Owning and driving this car cannot be explained in words. Mods are cheap and payout in speed in enormous. Besides that emotional part, what are you paying? I might have gotten the first one in the US or close to it, and made the mistake of paying over sticker. At the time of the market, it wasn't a bad decision, and I could have sold it for more money. Nope, I didn't do it and should have! Now, it is a high $100's car. $180k or $190k. Whatever you do, don't pay what you said. Pay less. They want you to take the car. Even at less.

09's are at MSRP or a touch less. 08's about $40k under. That is average. Some 08's might bring sticker based on color and some mods and options. Apparently, a base car is low in value, but a car with some good options is a good value. Generally, a Porsche is a good used car, because you get good options for nothing, but this thinking doesn't appear to be the norm with the GT2.

One guy gave $150k on this forum. That is rare. Most cars were optioned to about $210k to $220k. Prices are more like $170k to $180k, with better cars bringing closer to $200k to $210k. Market sucks. Sucks worse when one is in the garage losing. One drive down the road and you will remember why you bought the beast.

Go for it... when you drive it you will say f*ck what the current market says its worth, you will love the car. When I first got mine I was offered between 40k and 50k over msrp and said no!!!!! I feel I will go through many many other cars, but for foreseeable future, I will have this car in my stable. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!
