This is true....the paint molecules in the green paint are actually slipperier than those of other colors, making the car quite a bit faster....scientific fact....look it up!

I was in a NEW GT2 just the other day and the seats were horrible...I'm 5-10 at about 190-195lb with athletic build and my shoulders didn't fit very well at all. Maybe some of the smaller guys fit ok but anyone around my size or bigger will have trouble.

The one I was sitting in didn't recline backward at all or at least I couldn't figure out how. Is that normal?

Yeah there not suppose to recline at all. This is a track oriented seat for sure with the added bonus of people being able to get into the back seats. I'm 6'2 @ 190lbs and fit comfortably. I guess everyone should at least sit in them first before buying them. Just to be safe.

You'd be surprised how freakishly low the profit margin is on these things, just to stay competitive with the other vendors. It definitely takes away our ability to offer any substantial discount, even to our high volume wholesalers. To be honest, if we could get enough people to commit, we might be able to pull off $6500 plus shipping on the leather seats, and a comparable discount off of the cloth seats, but that's really it. Then we face the issue of availability...there might be a half dozen or so in the states, so some people in on the GB might have to wait a month or two to get their seats. Perhaps one day we'll be able to get a killer deal from Porsche on them, like we do on the 996 GT3 seats (which we have priced at over $1000 below dealer cost), but that probably won't be for quite a while (think years instead of months).

Please direct any questions to me directly over PM, email, or phone and I'll be more than happy to help you out!

Thanks guys!
Steve, you got mail.

I just look up my chemistry text book and sure enough green pigments expel more solar radiation compare with other color molecules therefore it weigh a fraction less which translate to lighter car and faster machine

Glad you try it out. They are not made with comfort in mind but rather for track and sports driving. That said, it is extremely comfortable for a racing bucket seat. GT2 seats have one of the least intrusive shoulder bolster compare with other racing bucket seats. You will thank them to help hold you in the seat on the track. These seat is suppose to hug you in place. If you feel "comfortable" in a racing bucket seat then it's not doing it's job. They can be tilt forward and yes, they don't recline .......

Yup, I can attest to what Steve said. Never had a problem getting the best deal on parts from Suncoast. Group buy will be great if you guys can pull it off. These light weight carbon fiber bucket seats are worth the price especially when you get to retain side impact airbags for safety and convenience of forward tilt plus it looks awesome and comfortable for DD

GT@ sub bar mounts

Great post and this will be a lot of help as I'm about to install the same in my GT3.

I have a couple of questions - did you use the standard GT3 sub mount bars on both sides? Also, - did you learn any "tricks" that the installer used to line up the roll bar holes?
