I seriously don't see how it is "losing its way".

Can't you see it?
Those tiny wheels, underrated brakes, huge gap between wheel arch and tyre, soft suspension, engine which is worse than a 2 liter VAG diesel engine and exhaust note of a tractor.

I'm not crazy about it..
It's great Porsche is making another GT3, I just dont like it as much

-Front end too similar to std 997 and GT2 (both are less attractive to me than 997 GT3.1)
-Rear is much worse IMO (what's with the "eyeliner" around the lights ?)
-Wheels are gimmicky and why are they painted "brake dust gray" vs silver ?
-Love the bigger engine with more hp & torque !

It's great Porsche is addressing most of the general concerns---no sunroof, bigger brakes & engine, lighter headlight option. For me the lack of a sunroof is a deal breaker...for everyone else it's good news.

Bill in Atlanta you mean you like and want a sunroof in such a raw track purposed built Porsche? Get a Carrera S instead.

I wished it would have come with direct injection.
The wheels are a gimmick and I do not like the spoke design. It looks too BLING.
I hope they do not smooth out this car. The GT3 is meant to be raw and a drivers car. The peak of an experience behind the wheel.
Oh well my 2 cents.

Yes, I want a sunroof which is why I own a 997 GT3 (and a Turbo). The GT3 is a street car and living in a warm/sunny location I enjoy it every time I drive it. I do not want a Carrera S (I can drive my Turbo if I want a "soft" luxury car).
