I agree 100%. Violating the air seal is not a good idea.
I would prefer a Carrera Cup car intake design but you need to reposition the MAF meter.

I can not see an open system being more effective. The Porsche engineers are pretty smart cookies but I am all for innovation and thinking out of the box.

So we modified one and added the K&N air filter to give it a more volumous airflow. Dyno tests coming soon.
