Carbon Roof Conversion - Please dont try this at home.

I too am curious. How much weight is saved? I'm imagining atleast 25-30 lbs as the sunroof and it's associated hardware ie. motors etc. are removed. What's this conversion cost? Lastly, did you notice any increase in interior noise?

Wow 13'' and 355 rear tire! Please post some pictures from the rear!

This particular car shed about 35 lbs.
No additional noise in the interior. Carbon does not transmit noise like steel does so in actuality it would be quiter as the carbon weave absorbs sound better than sheetmetal would.

Thanks for the post but the idea was to have a carbon roof - like the M6
The roof is clear coated and our customer was going for the exposed carbon

Great work Fabryce....very impressive transformation.

I like the exposed carbon look myself. Awesome job and idea. I wish Porsche would offer this as an option on new cars....or at least give the USA a sunroof delete option...I just can't understand that myself.
Fabryce, I looked and looked along with a friend for your hauler and cars in the paddock, we could not find you all. We walked from turn 16 right down to 17 twice.

Of course...otherwise he'd have painted it white!
