Those look really right on the car, being real Mags I assume they are both very expensive and very fragile.

Those BBS wheels are the VERY VERY best and lightest wheels available. 1 piece FORGED magnesium.............what all the most seriuos superhard core RACERS use...............Alex Job, Racers Group, Feisinger, and all the Grand AM SGS teams.

Would be a great upgrade for all 996, GT3, and 993 cars.................I would have gotten a set for my ClubRace 993RS..................BUT the wheels list for $2200 each and even at wholesale it a used GOLD ROLEX Daytona or a SEADOO XP wave runner!!!

Since they are made in JAPAN under license by BBS Germany.............and are completely CNC automated (labor and material costs are very little) they should be $3000/set and then we are all in.

You GUYS should all call the TIRE RACK and BBS and *****! Yes the magnesiums are the lightest.....................BUT BBS offers the same wheel in Aluminum and its far cheaper. The only problem is that BBS only offers 8.5 18" and 10" 18" rear.................and 996& Gt3 cars would like 9" and 11" rear which are only available in magnesium. Aluminum is only 2-3lbs heavier.................BUT for under $3000 you can get 2 1/2 sets

Make some phone calls I did 6-10 months ago..................perhaps some new wheels can come out if they get enough calls.

I sold my BBS 3 pieces magnesium center wheels to buy the Manthey Motors wheels. They ran out of stock back in August. By this time it makes no sense to buy them when the summer season is over.

I got a discount offer for those wheels at 6800 euros. After shipping from Germany and taxes, they are close to $10,000.

When I called BBS they gave me a $8000 price, but they are in back order, because all the race teams are looking for them.

Joe has a very valid point. These wheels are the BBS RE Magnesium, which have a more protective finish on the Manthey Racing version (at a price). BBS RE are available in aluminum as well.

BBS can easily build the RE in aluminum in the same size and offset: 18" x 9" ET45 and 18" x 11" ET59.

The 9" front will increase contact patch good for braking and turning, the 11" rear with a 59mm offset will increase track. Aluminum is something we can use everyday, rather than track only magnesium with the risk of cracks and the price.

Sharky,

Can you get them for the E46 M3? If so, what are the sizes, weights, and price?

Thanks,

David
