Thanks dude.

just thinking why they are testing 2 cars with and without PCCB? that's unusal for Porsche, normally they just testing it with PCCB.

I like the looks but the rear wing is a little to high. IMO!

Issues:

1. No centerlocks on the RS?

2. Front wheels are different from rear ... why?

Im not to fond of the new wing.

Centerlocks will probably be a nice high dollar option.
Wheels are different to keep the public from knowing what will actually be on the car.

Man I don't know what it is but I'm just not too fond of the new looks in general. I think the newfront end does not look half as aggresive as the current one, and the new wing looks overkill. The car just looks exaggerated in the back and not exxagerated enough in the front. Just my .02

Probably because these brakes are all new, and not a derivative of previous model brakes. Remember the 993 Big Reds are the same as the 996 Big Reds as the 996 6 piston are the same as the 997 6 pistons (reffering to steel).

Maybe slight changes, but overall, pretty much the same concept of steel rotors with integrated hats.

These new 380 mm rotors systems are completely different and probably need more testing because they are a departure from the normal Brembo kits that have been coming on all the Porsche for a long time.

Just a guess.

It seems like too many people are caught up on the pictures and not watching the video, this car is tons meaner than the current GT3. Screw the front bumper.......... And the wing is actually MORE useful.......

Oh, crap, you're right, it is titled wrong. Hard to tell apart from the wing.

It's gunna be good. Just let the engineers finish playing and it'll be awesome, my dealer has my letter of intent and when the allocations are announced they'll need a £10k deposit, sometime next year I guess.

Driving a white 997 GT3 at the minute and it seems I've only just had it (2yrs old in July) so I'm by-passing the Gen.2 GT3 and putting in for a new RS, a natural upgrade I guess.

This current model is just so good I can wait. Having some martini stripes put on next week just for 6 months or so for the summer track days, they'll be exactly the same as the EVT700 on previous threads posted on here last summer

Will post pics when done

At least two different cars used. Even the wings were not the same in all the pics.
Some were the new one, some with the current RS wing and possibly even the new up coming GT3 wing which is a "baby" of the current RS wing.

The car still looks awesome. The "new" wing has a uneven contour to the surface of the air foil like in the RSR wing.

Look forward to the changes.
Oh and no centerlocks? If the GT3 has it the RS must also?

Checking out the photos on various links to this 997 GT3 rs mk2 trackside, I find it interesting that the rs appears to be track testing on Hoosiers?

Hoosiers? Looks like tread to me, Corsas likely. What pics are you reffering to?
