Yep..was wondering about the setup myself. This was a perfectly positioned camera.

Great vid - awesome job by the Porsche driver.

 

In my humble opinion: The Porsche driver was far more skilled in traffic. Amazing anticipation! I think that the Viper driver was faster in the straights, but scared himself going into the corners, which is why the Porsche driver consistently out braked the Viper. The shot where the Porsche rocketed by the Viper was due to drafting...at that speed the Porche had to drop 500 or so RPMs and as soon as the Viper lifted the Porsche was gone.

To me it seemed like the Viper and the GT3 were evenly matched but it was just that the GT3 was hitting the traffic and getting caught up and allowed the Viper to catch back up.

 

The GT3 has what, 425-475hp? The Viper has what, 600+?

definatly not 600 plus. i dont think they have the new 600hp 8.4 engine in the comp coupe, so it would make it 520 hp

Man, that Viper has so much pull on the straights. I figured when he got to the last straight he'd out-pull him and their race would be over. Guess the Porsche just drafted him down the straight and then out-braked him.
