I have a deposit with Braman in West Palm Beach and they would not take the deposit until they had confirmation that there would be a new RS

Boyd,

Erik had a deposit on his MKI RS there, you might want to ask him about that.. He ended up getting his RS from the same dealer I put my deposit down in 04-08.

Still not sure if I will end up with MKI or MKII RS ;-) Intro in September Frankfurt Autoshow, order in Sept / Oct, delivery February I was told by dealer..

Peter:
Erik and I discussed it a lot when it was going on and after. A secret with dealing with Braman is who the salesman is. I only deal with Chip Davis. He has been there like 16 years and is great. I got my 07 RS from him at msrp with no drama. I guess the salesman Erik had dealt with was a short timer and gone by the time Erik started asking questions. I heard one story that they found the Buyers Order in his old desk that had never been turned into managment. I have a signed Buyers Order by Managment with a deposit and a Chip looking out for me. Now I just need to earn the necessary money!!!!
You should buy my 07 since it is totally ready to go?!?
Thanks!
Boyd

Nice.. I should have figured you know the story from Erik.

I am surprised no one pounced on your car yet.

Your car is perfect and will be long gone by the time I am either receiving and keeping the MKII or sell it after Euro delivery and get a (Less nice, higher milage than yours) MKI in March / April of next year, depending on how much I like the MKII and weather I win the lottery or not...

We will see if RS sells, it is on Ebay and coming out it Autoweek. Worst case is that I keep it and that is not all bad since I do really love the car.
Thanks again!

Did sources say anything about colour options for the new RS? Will orange and green still be around?

Is your ebay ad the one with the spare set of wheels with track tires? Love it.

Good luck with the sale.

It is my car on Ebay and I will miss it and hope I can afford another next year. It is really done right so we will see how it goes. Do have several lookers.
No news on colors yet, my guess is that if will be close to the end of this year or first of next until we know specifics.
Regards,
Boyd

UK dealers were given a presentation on the GT3 RS two days ago and confirmed RSR style suspension and 15bhp more over the GT3. Colours shown in the presentation were black, grey and a middle forest green, the car will be announced officially in August and delivery will start next year.

My order and deposit are being placed today.

Flares are for RSR suspension, more track oriented options are available, more power over GT3 2, a significant date is the 19th August apparently.

Looks like how the RS should be, closer to a cup car than a GT3.

It should really be a car for someone that wants a track car that they can street, not a street cat than can be tracked..... thats a 997S or even a GT3. They should make the GT3 RS their cup car for the street.... and I think that this will be a better representation of that.
