thank you all for the positive posts. last friday she got a full frontal clear bra and this morning i dropped her off with mike/bryan at rss supply in costa mesa. they are putting on the cargraphic kit 6 exhaust, lwfw and clutch, sequential shifter and doing an aggressive street alignment/corner balance/10 mm lowering.
for those who think that i should wait on the exhaust, sorry. i don't wait. i have heard enough of her in stock mode, sounds great but that gt1 motor needs to be heard in her full glory and noone can stop me.
i took her up on the glendora mountain road again on saturday and let me tell you, this ride is so much more confidence inspiring it is amazing vs the turbo. she is already 500 lbs lighter and will lose an additional 60-70 lbs this week.
we will be at c&c this saturday with her and her sister for those so cal guys who want a closer look.
and i agree that photos do not do justice.
i think mike/bryan will post photos as they do their thing this week.

Alan's new GT3 on the rack getting ready for the first round of mods...
Here is Alan's new baby already on the rack here at RSS / Stuttgart Performance for the first round of upgrades...we will post imagery as we go and get some good shots of the car at multiple angles when completed. She sure is a beauty... we'll enjoy bringing her beast side out a bit more...

i guess that you are the resident curmudgeon. sorry but guys like me are never satisfied with the status quo and look for ever imporving performance, looks, sound and, not the least of which, MORE than what a european spec'd exhaust gives you. remember, porsche must meet very strict euro sound limits and therefore all cars get the same exhaust with that limit. thank god, we are not limited by such things here and with the additional hp/tq, i plan to put them to good use.
be satisfied if you will, but please do not berate those of us who choose a more unrestricted path.
and you are right, more power to guys like mike/bryan at rss and the things that they can do to improve the beast inside.

one last thing, "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it."
i am sure that no one here appreciates your holier than thou attitude about their passion, i sure don't. and to state that people like me "throw money at them" is to presume that i do not have the intelligence to think for myself, way risks, do my homework and make that decision for without your input. for me i certainly do not need your input on such matters and would prefer you not provide your small minded posts.
for you see, there are those of us that look at life as a glass half full, and try their best to go about filling it with more joy. for you, you seem to have the outlook that the glass is half empty, and go about life trying to take some of our glasses contents to stop the bleeding in your life.
i'm sorry, i'll get back to filling my glass with joy now.

I would imagine he was saying that the GT3 is 500lbs lighter than his turbo since he was comparing the two on that particular road. He is losing another 50-60lbs with the modifications he is doing.
Congrats on the 997.2 GT3, Guards Red is a stunning color. Too bad many others don't appreciate it and go for grey/silver/black boringness. Enjoy in the best of health and don't let the "curmudgens" keep you from posting about your beautiful new baby.
