one last thing, "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it."
i am sure that no one here appreciates your holier than thou attitude about their passion, i sure don't. and to state that people like me "throw money at them" is to presume that i do not have the intelligence to think for myself, way risks, do my homework and make that decision for without your input. for me i certainly do not need your input on such matters and would prefer you not provide your small minded posts.
for you see, there are those of us that look at life as a glass half full, and try their best to go about filling it with more joy. for you, you seem to have the outlook that the glass is half empty, and go about life trying to take some of our glasses contents to stop the bleeding in your life.
i'm sorry, i'll get back to filling my glass with joy now.

My point in the above is that we all make mistakes with the typed word.
I think "Trundle" was addressing a general audience (not you specifically, although he used your situation as an example). He's correct, in that, when it comes to mods it is best to be careful. There are many "shops" that want to separate the customer from their money.
Logic dictates that the GT3 is so new, with many improvements that "most" drivers would want to get get comfortable with the base line performance before making changes of any kind.
You seem to fall into the category outside of "most" and it is certainly your choice to do what you want with your car, when you want... but most would (should?) wait and learn its characteristics before changing them.
You may well be able to afford the downsides to voiding your warranty (and kudos to you), but many here who would purchase the car, need and rely that warranty.
That Trundle would point out the hazards, is a service to the reader and not (as I perceive it) an attack on you. If you are a serious (and serial) modder then I am sure you have encountered your share of "shysters" (and I am not suggesting that your current shop falls in that category) so, again, the warning is useful to the general audience.
I am sure that when you meet up with Trundle at C&C, you will find him to a kindred spirit , fueled by the Porsche passion, even if he has a different slant on things than you.
Congrats on the new car, and congrats on the new mods.
No one can argue with you doing it your "weigh" (j/k)
