What rain tires you use for your GT3?

Hi guys,

Just wonder what rain tires you use for your GT3? and if you use them both for wet roads, and for wet tracks as well, or another set for track?

GT3Ranger spoke highly of the Pirelli Corsa. Want to hear what other good options are out there.

I personally only have experience with PS2 and felt that they are good.

N.B. don't say use the search button.

Tim,

For a wet track you can't beat Hoosier Radial Wets, BUT they are track use only!! PS2's are probably the best combo of street/track wet tire.

Tim

James Daniels got me the Hoosier wets which I am looking forward to trying out shortly. Very durable providing the track is wet but last nanoseconds if not.

Tim, I would recommend a set of extra wheels, the rotating bricks (TechArt Wheels) or a new set of lighter wheels with a set of PS2's and use themfor your wet street/track wheels.

The best option for wet tires for track usage are definitely rain slicks if you really want grip in wet conditions. I use Pirelli wet slicks. See the related post:

If you are looking for the best compromise for street usage that can also be used in dry conditions, the real deal are the Pirelli Corsa System. As good as PS2 in the rain and better than the Sport Cup in dry conditions.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like 2 votes for Corsa.

Read about the Hoosier wet, but I'll be using the set for wet/some dry road use too.

Yeah, Nigel good to see you.

Ed, it will not be Techart anymore. Need to shop for wheels with the centre lock...

Be careful as Corsa and Corsa System are NOT the same tires.

Best street wet and track semi slick combined in one tire is P Zero Corsa.... no other semi slick authorised for street use has the same level of competence in the wet...
