There was no white red RS 7.1, but there were a very few in grey/black late in the run. The red on the RS.2 is a brighter color than the 996 GT3RS also.

I'm sure there is an owner with a white/red 7.1 RS, i've seen the pics here on 6speed.

there is also white/orange 7.1 RS floating around.

doesn't both 996 and 997.2 RS uses guards red as the red accent? if so, they should be the same color

Nasty decals, those. Its guards red on the 997.2 RS. I think it was a deeper. (Indian red) on the 996RS.

I totally agree! Maybe a dull black wheel rather than gloss.

those owners would have had ordered the White RS.1 (probably before the black decal option was offered or did a decal delete) and then added aftermarket decals. But as RMcG said before the 7.1 RS was never offered in White/Red and I believe he is right about the 6RS being India Red, it was a bit deeper and closer to a blood red than Guards which tends to be brighter and have a little more orange in it and is closer to "Ferrari" red.

There were at least three, that I know of, done by the factory... here is one at the Porsche delivery center in Stuttgart:

I did see a 7.1 that was Black with Silver graphics. Thought of this for my car. It looked great. Haunts me to this day. I know I have a photo of it somewhere. It was the one and only 7.1 I'd seen with gray graphics [black/gray wheels]. Has anyone seen the gray in person. This looks to be the same color Porsche offered in the mid to late 60s. Was nice with the chrome on the early cars. Unsure how it looks without chrome. Appears a bit agricultural looking in the photos. I want to like it.

I'm sorry about that, I meant to say Graphics rather than decal, I mis-spoke.

I bet that looked beautiful. But here in the US, it was not available, at least not "officially" As we all know, Porsche has been known to back track and give in to special requests by extra special customers, Seinfeld comes to mind. I don't know about the Rest Of World cars since often things are offered differently overseas, such as the sunroof delete on Gen 1 GT3's, or was it the gen 1 997TT's, I forget, maybe both actually.

I'd love to see it, bet it looked nice and purposeful!

You and I obviously don't require much sleep. If I'm not mistaken in the past the US has not had all color options available to us. Possibly watch what Porsche does elsewhere with the graphic option and coordinated the combo once acquired. For example we did not have available to us a 7.1RS in the traditional white with Blue graphics. This was offered in other markets at least for two years. I also saw blue graphics over silver. Still curious what the 7.2 gray paint looks like in person. Porsche must like it as it been their prefered color for the RS intro and photo shoots. Could always go black and have flat black graphics cut. That would be very subtle. Note: 3M used to make a remover that you simply sprayed on and the stickers almost fell off. You can leave off or replace with your choice.
