Recaro, Sparco seats

Is there a Recaro seat built in the same vein as the Sparco EVO 2,3.

I am 6-3 and 215lbs and the Sparco EVO 1 is super tight. Leaning towards getting some Sparco EVO 2 Plus's but I wanted to know what my other options were.

I was dead set on a set of OE GT2 seats but the light weight of the Sparco/Recaro seats as well as the great price is swaying me.

try Recaro pole position, they're wider than SPG and EVO1. I found the leather version feel wider since you can slide in and out!

Whats your size...

I am 6-3 215lbs and 34" waist... EVO 1's are way too tight for me but I have not tried anything else yet.

My internet blows where I am so I cannot upload any pics but google is your friend.

Sparco's are generally $600-800 and the Recaro's mentioned are $900

Cobra also makes some fantastic seats in CF that run around $1300-1500 but take 4 months to get.

Pole positions fit me Jason and we are not the same size.

Whether you go with Sparco Recaro or Cobra... they all will be good!

Best to do is sit in them first.... hard to find them though.... a trip to OC might help with all the shops there.

MO,

Or maybe I will just do what I said I was going to do from the beginning and get some GT2 seats.. weight savings are not as good, however....

The GT2 seats are awesome and the folding option is great.

But I think you will be just as happy with a Recaro or Sparco.

When I get a chance I am going to sit in Gomez's drivers seat with my helmet on and make some decisions based on that.

I know the GT2 seats fit me well, they are easier to get in and out of, require less work to fit, and are made by Porsche. However, they are about twice as heavy as most other fixed back options due to the airbags..... They are also oh so beautiful!

for a 34 waste, i recommend Sparco Pro2000's... those were my fav seat and im a 36 waste.

for a 40 waste... that's a tough one. i'd try EVO2's... they are more ideal for a 38 waste, but might work. Cobra Suzuka GT should be the best fit... i was quite loose in that one, so i think a 40 waste would be good. i really like those seats by the way... Carbon/ Kevlar design and it has a lot of bostering further down the thighs to keep you in place. (just a tad large on me)

the only recaro's i tried were SPG's and were on the tight side for me, but i fit. Probably a 34" waste would be ideal...

definitely try them out for yourself to be sure.
