I used your idea of the door guard on my 996 GT3 splitter and it worked great. I used the truck door version as the matte black matched better. Thanks for sharing such a great idea.

I used your idea of using the door guard to protect the splitter. I used "truck door" guards as they were not shiny black on my 06 GT3 and they worked perfectly. I plan to keep extras in the garage. Thanks for sharing.

Marc, glad you like the Cup splitter. LOL on the glove. I don't want to get my hands dirty

These door edge guard was pretty hard to find online. The inly place I found was through e-bay. Click on this link: Cowles door edge guard It's for 150' worth of door edge guard ... you might be able to find smaller size at your local auto parts store

The door edge guard should work on 6 GT3 trims

OK guys, guess what showed up at my door Couple Cup splitter with brake cooling duct openings. I tried them out this past weekend at Laguna and worked well - kept the brakes nice and cool

Here are couple pictures for comparison

Front bumper without the denture

Looks pretty cool

Thats the spitter I just fitted... Will test mine at Thunderhill.

BTW I walked into Kragens in San Jose and pick up truck door protecter (another brand) that also worked just fine.

Must set somthing clear here

The lip is not a Cup S part

Its a regular cup front lip and are avalibly in diffrent countries with hole and with hole, here in sweden all have the one with hole and the super cup cars i Europe has the ones without the hole for more downforce

The cup S car has a completly diffrent front spoiler and a front splitter like this will not fit
