ya, seriously..... maybe they are having supplier issues with the standard seats and figured that a free "upgrade" was the easiest fix?? Im torn on what to do.... If the adaptive seats were a free option, I would have ordered them.... just didnt want to pay for them.... are the standard seats any better?? (besides the weight issue)
The standard seats are lighter (which would the only reason anyone could say that they are better, imo) and have less adjustments (no bolster, lumbar and minimal seat bottom rake.) So, if you don't mind the weight, they are the same visually other than the power controls of course. Same leather and Alcantara covering, same padding, same seats sans power.

So, if you would have opted them for free, where's the decision? You got them for free. Good deal.

ok... here's one thing that popped into my mind this evening.... I snapped a few pics of the car yesterday when I went to look at it....so looked at them to investigate further..... 1st is a pic of my GT3 and second is a pic from my previous turbo.... notice anything strange on the GT3??

Unless the location of the buttons have changed.... There is no seat memory on the GT3.... this is bizarre...

I ordered my GT3 MY2010 with adaptive seats and got it without memory too. I checked couple of GT3's on ebay and it is the same. I guess on GT3's you dont get the memory + there is no mention of the memory for the GT3 on Porsche web site. Haven't looked at the user manual yet though.

I have an 08 GT3 with adaptive seats.....no memory functions. I am only 150lbs....so I guess with the extra *** weight, I am up to a normal male adult weight! In all seriousness, I love the adjustments that keep me glued into the seat.
