I have the same debate with 996 C2's - I'd love to get one, but I'll probably be disappointed in the performance.

the B5 S4 is obviously a very tunable car, and from your sig it appears you've done quite a bit to yours, so i would expect a performance drop moving from your car to a stock carrera or an M5 (slightly tuned). but you can buy a used C2 and tune it for under the cost of that 2002 M5. i personally would take a B5 S4 over an M5 just b/c they can be made to outperform for less $.
that CGT sounds great in that sound clip! where were all the lamborghinis?

All the lambos are in the showroom - but they don't actually have any new ones, all are on consignment I believe (new ones are all sold to people on the list I think).
For now I'll keep my car, and someday soon hopefully upgrade to a Turbo .
