I don't think it can be rebuilt to be cost effective.

Did you see any force entry on the drivers side door? Was ignition broken? Just curious how the vehicle was stolen after reading RL thread.

Good luck with your decision.

Can I ask how much you paid for it? I'd never want to drive something that was that far gone. Parting it out would be my only option.
Cost for parts sold vs cost of the car at auction would be a big factor in whether I'd have even bought it. How much do you think the parts are worth in parting it out?

I don't see how you could safely repair the car such that it is track-worthy at a cost that would make it worth it. I would part out what you can and sell the rest as scrap.

Would make me wonder what kind of thief would have the know how to steal a GT3 only to joy ride and burn it down.. I dont see the motive.. odd situation..

On topic though, i wouldnt spend $$ repairing that.. Part out and use towards a clean GT3.. id be interested in some parts so if you decide to part please PM me with some pricing and whats available..

Mike

^^^^ With a new 997 tub ( = bodyshell ) there might be a possibility to use it as a trcak car, but as previous poster wrote, use a 993 or a 964 as a donor...^^^^

That bodyshell is beyond ( cost-effective ) repair.

The first thing I would do is RE-PAINT the entire car, and replace the windows with plexiglass. Try to go solid color this time the flame look is totally out for the GT cars this year, try checker board finnish if you must stand out.

Once the paint dries you have a few choices....
#1 sell it to the Monster Truck Jam circuit and let big foot have some fun.
#2 Lease it to a circus so the elephant sit on it a few times.
#3 Part it out....its DUNZO! (no re-paint needed)

You asked for it
