996 GT3 is the best IMHO. Almost all 'fanboy' car magazines are biased, need to review product in alignment with manufacturer's marketing needs. The problem is when you get someone driving who is not a shill for the company.

Ahh, ok, didn't hear any mention of that. Subjective opinions are one thing, getting after it on the track is another.

With all the improvements to the 997.2 GT3 I am not surprised about this:

997.1 - 1min 12.0
997.2 - 1min 10.5
Can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

Too bad they used a Gen1 996 GT3 vs. the better performing 04-05 (like we got here in the states) Gen 2.
