Video Quick vid. My '10 GT3 + PBIR = :)

Had a great time today at the Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR). It was the first time I've gone to that track and first track day for my GT3. Braman Porsche organized the event. The guys at Rennsport One in Pompano Beach informed me of the event Friday, so yesterday, I got almost 80% of the car clear bra'ed by AutoSuper shields, got an oil change late last night and was ready for the track It was an all day event with LOTS of track time. Temperatures throughout the day where 32-55 degrees but it did not stop me from pushing it My wife was with me, she took some vids with her phone... I forgot to take the camera.

I was there on Saturday with the PCA instructor day, but it was pure misery. Wayyyy to cold and wet. If I wasn't out pretending to be a student with a new instructor candidate, I was shivering under the tent. Could not make Sunday since there are 4 days coming up this weekend w PBOC at Sebring.

I heard about it. I was in WPB the whole day Saturday and it was drizziling/raining the whole day and temps were in the 20-30s. Sunday was cold but dry. I must have done 80 laps(7-8 lap sessions). I was really pushing the car though and had the SC+TC completely OFF the whole time. The summer tires didnt really help either. Even with under those conditions, I managed a 1:30.21 lap, which I believe was my fastest. My wife left an inprint of her hand on the passanger door handle It was her first time, but she loved it.

I went off into the inner part of turn 4 at one point and coming out of turn 2, to the right once Nothing serious at all. I was just a bit too aggressive for the conditions that day. The tire/wheather combo did not mix well though. 80% of all turns the tires breaking loose. Amazing day though.

There is a reason for that, I went to a day were Novice drivers had passengers, and it was scary. Most people try to show off to there passengers and start acting really stupid. It felt like a closed circuit street race. It was the only time I hated being on the track.

Yeah, very sportsman like :-)) Here's another example of him following me this time at Sebring

Car is a 996 GT3 lightened about 300-400 lbs, motons, short gearing, etc etc. Basically a "street legal" cup car.

Nice video! The car sounds amazing, you really can hear the extra 1,000+ RPMs over my C2S...
