2010 GT3 Premier Clear Bra App + Diamond Cut IR

Vehicle was just completed today. For the clear bra, customer opted for the full hood, full front fenders, mirrors, lights, front bumper, Apillars, and strips behind rear tires.
We also added our Diamond Cut IR tint (infrared rejecting film) at 63% to all windows and 73% for the windshield (disclaimer - off road use only). More info here on our DCIR Tint:

Enjoy

More shots of our paint protection film installation completed. Some day light shone through so we decided to get the car out for some pictures before the rain hits once again

Question - on most every clear bra install the edges over time will get dirt/grime into them around the wheel wells and bumper area
Does your Protective body film do this around the wheel wells and bumper edges over time? And if so is the remedy the same just cut back the material?

just curious - product and the cars look amazing

We do not see a problem here with our applications. Dirt / grime collection can be cleaned up by a wash. The only time that this happens is if the film lifts and bubbles up so that dirt ends up getting in. Otherwise, if the film is sealed contaminants cannot get underneath the film.

I am not a installer but have had several cars clearBra'd.

I assume the typical Clear Bra installer does nothing more to seal the edges except add low heat (heat gun) and exert pressure on the material and allow the material to set up and bond.

The issue is this, Extreme Southern USA summer heat and humidity and daily afternoon rain showers as well as cleaning and washing overtime allows this seal to breakdown and slightly lift allowing dirt and grime to build up only in certain areas. (usually around the wheel well edges in front and bumper edges)
I am just interested if your sealing process is different to keep this from happening. Or if the material you use has better sealing characteristics than the Clear bra material dealer use - 3M and other brands
thanks for the feedback

Extreme heat or cold does not affect the seal of the film. However, improper stretching or application can. For example, by not stretching material properly, there can be too much tension in one particular area that may lift over time. When this happens, there will be a chance for dit to get into this areas.

Would you happen to have any pictures of these areas that you can share?

I understand and this is probalably what happened - unfortunately no I do not have pics this was on my 996 I just sold I had the lifted area shaved off...1/16th or smaller

my new (slightly used)GT3 has a clear bra. But low low miles so far and no lifting..wait until Aug.....heat heat heat

Again your companies work looks impecable, and I assume the lifting is due to a bad install or 3M...

I and many wish you had a installer on the east coast - you would increase your revenue
thanks for the info

We've considered opening East Coast satellite locations, but we are currently to capacity with our Northern and Southern California operations. Perhaps in a few years.

Another 2010 GT3 in red at our Southern California facility getting the entire car fully wrapped. As a matter of fact, every other car in the photo is getting a full body clear bra application (1 pc application per panel with edges tucked wherever possible)

Here are some shots of a '10 911 with our Diamond Cut IR tint installed. 63% for the front two windows and 50% for the rear three. There is plenty of information on our product in pages prior to this post. A quick synapse:
1. 94% infrared rejection (most ceramic tint only offers up to 78% infrared blockage).
2. 94% infrared rejection regardless of tint shade.
3. 10-15 degrees difference in cabin temperature compared to other high end tint.

TINT SHAVED TO THE EDGE ELIMINATING ALL GAPS - FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THIS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WANT THIS OPTION AT THE TIME OF ORDER
