Gt3 or r8 (v8)

Hey Guys my first choice was the r8... then gt3 stoleee my mind greatly...after seeing the r8's numbers, and knowing the difference bet diving experience... but being neutral, honest and rational... what do you believe is best

Oh and question... how is the gearbox on the GT3... smooth, precise? or more towards hard, and precise... and gated manuel on the R8 ehh?

Street - R8

Track - GT3

That's being neutral, I don't too much care for the R8's looks.

The GT3's gearbox is not smooth (soft) but is very precise, something like the bolt action of a rifle. It takes more effort than most gearboxes but is very precise and not vague at all, hope that helps.

+1 "bolt action of a rifle" precise description.
Add to that the clutch feel. The GT3 you know it, the effort. In the Audi RS4 and the E60 M5 (w/ 6MT) it's like pushing your foot into whip cream.
Oh btw, GT3 all the way!

The Porsche 911 is the bench mark that all manufactures use to measure there vehicles against. Why not just get what every other manufacture wishes they had built...get a GT3, if the gearbox isn't to your liking, get a C2S or if AWD is what you need get the C4S.

If you consider "the Stig" impartial I think he would vote for the GT3 on the track having smoked the R8 head to head.

Yeh guys I personally think the in car driving expereince in the r8 will NEVER ammount to the exitement of a GT3... your just so involved... its like controlling a rollercoaster, the thrill, the sound, the g force in those turns, that suede stock steering wheel....looking in your review knowing you have a sexy wing creating such precise down-force....and btw this WILL be my everyday car...and better yet I live in NYC, have a house in NJ to rip up the streets, and I go down to couple tracks 1-2 hours away... cant wait.... DO DEALERS HAVE THE CAR AVAILABLE TO ORDER?

you're asking a GT3 forum which car to pick? you already know the answer before you post.

BTW if you still has a Lambo Gallardo, why do you still need the cheap version of it (flame suit on)...

Seriously I agree that the R8 will be more comfortable for daily city driving, but I too was never attracted to its look.
