Getting my hand on a GT3?!

Nope, he is not lying. There are no more allocations for 2010 GT3s. Supposedly, only around 400 2010GT3s were built for the US (over 330 have been delivered) and only 250 2010/2011 GT3 RS' will come to the US. The good news is that you can get one off a lot under MSRP, but...

ONE THING... did Porsche stop production because they have something up there sleeve for 2011... this would anger me...

Nah. Many people had deposits on allocation for months, some even a year, and then when their production started or needed to be delivered, customers started dropping like flies due to the economy I guess together with speculation about if it was worth it over a used 997.1 GT3 (The answer is YES!!!) caused Porsche to cut production. Now many people, some which I know, that turned down allocations are kicking themselves

Have fun and good luck with your search!
See also the link below to a 2010 GT3 that may or may not have been close to what you would have spec'd:

How much is a lot under MSRP? I bargained my hardest and got 5-6% off MSRP

Two days ago I got a new 2010 GT3 from Schneider + Nelson Porsche, Long Branch, NJ. Less than a hour from NYC. They have one left. White, dynamic eng mounts, sport bucket seats, etc. Key optioned and not heavily loaded. Mine, the one with the lifter, is still listed on their Website. I got a good deal. Contact Ed.
New Country Porsche, Greenwhich, CT has a couple. White and Artic Silver. These two are heavily optioned, but include dynamic eng. mts. and lifter. Contact Aldo Camara.
Pepe Porsche, White Plains, has another white one, ceramics, etc. Not heavily optioned. Advertised at $5,000 off list. Contact John or Gary.
Porsche of Wallingford (???), CT and Jack Daniels, Paramus, NJ have a white and a black one respectively, both lightly optioned.
It is a buyers' market. Now it is a great opportunity to get an incredible machine at a decent price. I also had a deposit and did let my allocation go. Yet I'm very happy with the ultimate outcome.
Best wishes on your search!
