RE 11 on my Gt3rs

I have the RE11 on my GT3 rs since 5000 miles. Everyday driving and track. I've done 6 days of track with it. They still look very good and find them amazing.

I only got 1847 miles out of my rear Corsa's (325's) before they were gone. When they went, they went quickly, almost put me in the bank. And that was all back road driving, no track time. But that was after I got my SW 3.9 conversion.! Going back to the MPSC's.

To your question, if you track say once a month and use your GT3 as a DD expect about 7 to 8K miles for the rears.

I have the RE-11's on my GT3. I like them for the street and occasional track day. I had a good time with them BUT, they didnt give the grip I would like in aggressive slow to medium speed turns. The tread is just too deep to hold. That said they served the purpose for now which was low cost good all around tire. I'm tracking another car now so I wanted a better street rain DD type set up.

Checked Tirerack..re-11s available however at higher price. While on the site, I saw the new Hankooks..talk about buying market share...These are nothing short of cheap ! Specs are good....
Anyone have any experience with these tires..? Crazy cheap.. Probably one of those cases where you get what you pay for ?

now have about 5000 miles on my re-11's and still have plenty of tread left. and i still love them. i will stay with them until something better (as cost effective) comes along.

For mostly street driving, how about the Bridgestone RE050A's? Even the Enzo ran on a variation of that tire. 140 wear rating should be just about perfect for mostly aggressive street driving and these tires are very quiet and smooth riding.
A048 is what I use on my Time Attack car. Hands down a great tire.
