No we are going to be using an IPD Plenum mated to the larger 997GT3 throttle body.

I do not understand!
On this engine mounted throttle body on the 997 GT3? because the throttle body the 997 GT3 and 'greater than the 996 GT3? The plenum of the original 996 GT3 you sell it?

That's correct. The 996GT3 throttle body is actually smaller diameter than the 997GT3 throttle body so we are using a 997GT3 one mated to an IPD plenum in the back.

I would get that from your local Porsche dealer. We are not selling the one from our car no sorry.

OK folks it's been a few days since my last 996GT3 Engine build confession... With our recent move (see the story here) it's taken a bit of a back seat

James got the engine is all back in the car:



Dan also installed the SharkWerks FE kit since we're using 996GT3 European buckets:


The cup bumper is now working/fitted with our 997 GT3 Track Exhaust set up as well (yes it's loud!).


Put away for the night after having been run a little for break-in...



A couple of important changes before we take her out on the break-in drive and tuning session:



I have to say she sounds like no other 996GT3 that's for sure. Very 997GT3'ish with some extra mustard. Dan will post a video or so shortly but I figured you guys didn't want to see that
