Carrera GT performance upgrades?

I really haven't seen much in terms of performance upgrades for the Carrera GT. Now granted, it is already an amazing car, and there are very few of them around, but you think some exhaust and computer tuning would have the potential to make it an Enzo eater. Should be able to extract much more than 600hp from a V10.

Has anyone heard of any exhaust or computer upgrades?
Thanks.

The car was detuned from well over 800 hp. As with most Pcars, I'm sure there is a lot more power lurking that can be exchanged for some long term durability. That said, drive one first. You'll soon find that with 3150 lbs and rear wheel drive, anymore power would be counterproductive. IOW, the tires light up all through first and much of second! You need to be very aware of throttle imput during corner exiting with this much power, this little weight, and rear wheel drive. Again, any more power would severely hinder the handling of the car IMO.

The Carrera GT is so awesome as BenLi states.............its mind altering. The only thing that I could think could make more power without any potential threat to hurting the engine would be a set of catalytic converter replacement pipes...................I would guestimate another 30-40HP given 607HP mase about 5% increased breathing shouldnt be far off.

If someone in Philly has a C GT I will make them for you...................just take me out for a ride when the weather is good.

Since throttle control of the C-GT 's power is already in a sweet spot or above as Ben states, why add more power for that hypothetical car magazine-style 100-190 mph run vs an imaginary supercar opponent on Interstate 5 ( yeah right ) , when all that will do is ruin the car's everyday response by having to dial BACK throttle all the time on real roads ?
I guess there are guys who will spoil a nice expensive ride and possibly grenade it so they can brag about a dyno run to strangers on the internet.

Don't take this the wrong way, but modding the driver will probably net you the biggest performance gains, especially in a car like the CGT.

It will be interesting to see if they end up with "up"grades or "down"grades. If they are adding power, I wonder when you'll actually have any access to it since the car already eats tires all the way thru first and well into second. As well, if they are using forced induction, I bet I can kick their butt around the track as there is no way they will be able to modulate THAT much power in this 3150 lb RWD car with the on/off switch that would be forced induction. IOW, they'd have to wait to get on power until WAY after a stocker CGT post apex (ie: like when it's nearly or completely pointed straight).

Well I know that one of the guys who owns the company is a pro driver been around for a long time. I also know that they wont be putting anything on the market that doesnt enhance the car .
Thats not what they are about.. And it wont be anything that is forced induction

If you put more power on a CGT ("especially" of the forced induction variety), my racing experience in a stock CGT against the bastardized CGT will only need to be equal to that of a 15 year old with a learning permit.

Ahhhhhhh kind Sir, Do I sense abit of hostility?........ I can assure you that there will be no "basterdizing" of any sort........
Its not what they are about .....

Sir and where was there any mention of forced induction.. Please correct me if I am wrong but I surely did not mention anything of that sort.

Its seems you exhibit superior driving skill perhaps you would like to go and test with the team.. There might be a seat available in a cup car.........

Cheers.!!!
