Pass Laguna Seca sound limit in 3.2 seconds!

No one had to be escort off the track unless they crash their car (at least two yesterday including a bad head on crash into a tire wall involving a corvette). Most just lift on turn 5. I think you have to do the same with your car - lift at turn 5

I don't mind a little lift...
though, for some reason, that's one of my favorite parts of the track. most of the stuff I've done at LS is in the skip barber formula cars (4 days last year alone) and those are serious momentum cars...so nailing 5 and getting up the hill is one of the more gratifying things to get right.
it'll be my first time wit my boxster (though I've owned that car for 7 years and modified it extensively)...also more of a momentum car so I guess I'll just need to worry less about lap times and more about enjoying the day.
sorry to hear about the wrecks. that usually puts the creepies into everyone out there when there's a bad one.

So far every Laguna seca event I attended have 1-2 very serious wreck including couple roll over like the one below. A Ferrari 360 challenge went off yesterday and mess up three of his $6000+ rims ...ouch. It is a fun track but needs to be driven with in your own safety window or bad things can happen fast.

Yes, lifting at turn 5 kills momentum and spirit but if you go with the right attitude (which you do) then you will have a blast.

Oh by the way. I heard his brake pads cost more than $3000 a set
... and I thought our $700 brake pads are outrageously expensive! LOL

I don't know if it was #36 but he was in the point by group with red 360 challenge. No wing or cage. He went off the same spot as me last month (the wide left sweeping turn right after crockscrew) and matter of fact the same small ditch on the left side of the track. I was able to dust off the sands and move on but the edge of his 19" rims are mess up. That's another reason to go with 18" wheels. Taller tires = less chance damaging the rims.

Have not seen you around for a while and hope all is well. The vacuum switch is on the very right side of the engine compartment under some AC hose I think. You won't miss it
Joe, we got 3 seesion both AM and PM and plenty of track time. The track was pretty wet until 3rd session in AM. I got 1:44 Will shave off more once I put the steel brakes back on. Dude, you gotta do the WEVO engine mount. It made a huge difference in turns. The car don't fight with you as much
