Interested in purchasing a GT3 ... have a few q's
I am posting for my father who has been thinking of purchasing a GT3 and had a question.
1 - Is this a good first porsche? He has owned a few corvettes before (1970's / 1980s) and hasn't gotten a "fun" car in a while. He likes the GT3 because of the power increase over the regular carrera and the fact that it is rear wheel drive.
2 - What options should he definitely get.
3 - How much off should he expect from M.S.R.P.
4 - He wants to know how many have been made / will be made in the future.
Also, please post pics of your GT3's as he would like to see some in different colors.
Thanks.

It is much more "raw" than any other 911. I think it is perfectly fine for the road, but then again that's just my personal opinion. I haven't taken it on the track yet, so I can't speak from personal experience, but from what I've heard and read it is amazing.
I got mine with Xenon's and a thicker steering wheel. Nothing else.
From what I've heard, the only real deals for new cars are being done on the East Coast. In CA, I haven't heard of any discounts for new ones.
I've heard that there were about 750 made in 2004 and about 100 made for 2005 (for North America).
I drove a 997 Carerra S. It's a beautiful, great car. But for me, once I drove the GT3 - I had to have it. If you can arrange a test drive do it - it will answer all of your questions.

Drive one and you'll know if it's right for you. It's that simple.
It's too raw for most folks.

**This will be a lot more fun to drive than a Corvette!
2 - What options should he definitely get.
**That depends on his prefference of what he wants. These cars are 800 pounds lighter than a regular 911, and have 380 HP instead of 320 HP. From 0-62 MPH this car is exactly as fast as the Twin Turbo Coupe and the Twin Turbo Cabriolet.
I presently have one in stock. It is Artic Silver with a Black Leather Interior with Sports Seats.
3 - How much off should he expect from M.S.R.P.
**Usually we do not discount the MSRP. I will however do something special for all members of 6-Speed Online.**
4 - He wants to know how many have been made / will be made in the future.
**They only made about 20-30 this year. 2005 they did not make nearly what they have in the past.
Also, please post pics of your GT3's as he would like to see some in different colors.
Please give me a call if I can be of assistance.

Depending on equipement they are about 800 pounds lighter, and 05 is very very low in production. I have been trying to locate cars for customers and there are not many around at all. My GM said that the US is lucky if there are 20 or 30 of them this year.
