Look at the values now. You can find an RS for $99 to 109K these days. Oh yeah holding value?

"Fully loaded".. hmmm, that sounds scary. Painted set backs? Leather fuse box?
Funny, I was thinking last night, *what if* someone offered me crazy money for mine? $200k? $250k? Even with cash on the spot, I would not sell. I want to use it and enjoy it as intended.
With that said, if a person wants an RS bad enough to get off their *** and start calling dealers, all over the US, and pleads their case, I bet they will find one and avoid the financial rape of the car above. That is what I would do. If you don't want to make the effort then you don't deserve one.

At $99 to 109K, it still hold a lot of value compare to other 911 variants, or any other high end sport cars.
Are you still getting a .2RS?

Actually if someone offers me $200K (which I think is impossible), I'll sell it and get a McLaren...

That is like throwing around $50k out the window. Paying sticker is bad enough, paying over is ridiculous IMO.

Even though I only put about 100 miles on the car in the last couple of days, I would have to agree. This car absolutely feels like a race car. Everything feels so precise, so planted. The exhaust is, as expected, a little wimpy sounding. But in sport mode, the sound, though not LOUD, sounds, well, right. I don't know how to explain it, but there is an urgent sense to it. For those who wonder about how streetable the car is, to me, it is actually, dare I say, comfy. Granted, my reference points are an old Landcruiser, an early 911 that is almost a track car, and a previous 997 C4S that had Damptronics. The only thing that is bugging me a little is how high the brake pedal is sitting. On later 911's, I tend to roll my foot to do heel and toe, as opposed to actually using my heel. Can't do that here with the brake pedal sitting so high, unless you have huge, extra wide feet.

granted, thats cool, you earn it, you decide how to spend it.
but i decided specifically based on the thumping my 997.1 RS value took (though my pleasure factor was huge) that i wasnt doing that again.
MSRP allocation, MSRP afterwards. or under MSRP if i had patience. but no way i was falling into that dealership racket gain.
sit tight. trust me, they aint going anywhere but down within th enext 12 to 18months. and thats coming from a pcar, RS lubber.

I was disgusted by the 997.1 ripoff. I hope all of you guys can be patient and realize you as the buyer have the power. Dont run in and slobber, and the RS's will sit. We had a TON of non porsche buyers buying the 997.1 screwing up the market. Its settled now on the 997.1 RS and it will on this one also. Be patient dont pay over, and in a year or so you will be able to get one at a reasonable price. Whats going on right now is pure greed.
Look at it this way, ANYTHING paid over MSRP will be throwing money out the window in less than 12 months.

i resolved the heel toe issue with the rennline throttle pedal , the extensions and the riser/adjuster kit. maybe $150 and i can bring up the throttle a bit, and the extensions close the gap a bit. they build that big gap, unlike in my cup car, to allow consumer regular shoes, perhaps even winter shoes in there without having a user hit brake /gas unintentionally and plowing into someone in front of them.

Look- it is nothing more than the financial f'cking of the truest of the enthusiasts. Again, I say call out these d-bags and publicly shame them. Dealers doing this should be known so that buyers know what kind of people they are dealing with and take their day-to-day business elsewhere.
I bought mine at MSRP and would never consider paying more.
