gt3 rsr vs gt3 cup

what are the differences between the gt3 cup car and the gt3 rsr? i was watching sebring and noticed there was a pretty big difference in lap times between the cup cars in the gtc class vs the rsr's in the gt class.

about 70hp, 300k, more aero, more track, slightly less weight, slightly better suspension stuff, more engine rebuilds - and mucho additional cool factor

In a nutshell, the RSR has less parts from the production GT3 than the Cup. Neither are street legal. Take a look:

Also, watch a round of the American Lemans Series and compare the GT (RSR cars) and the GT-Challenge (cup cars) classes.

This is the race he was probably watching at Sebring yesterday.. We were there as well.. approx 6-7 seconds difference in lap times for RSR which clearly had more HP.. If HP was equal it may have only been a few seconds difference i bet.. The GTC cars are pretty amazing..

I know that the Porsches in the GTC class had to be equalized to accommodate Cup, WC, and Grand-Am spec GT3s. Anyone know what had to be done to do that?

the RSR has air conditioning.

the front and rear fenders are also different along with the bumpers.
