Talking 11.307s 1/4 mile 2010 GT3 @ 118.479 MPH / 29.345s 1 mile @ 169.773 mph.

Went yesterday to a 1 mile top speed event at the Miami Collier-Cobb airport, organized by Exotics Rally. Many nice cars, including an orange TT UGR Gallardo superleggera and a yellow TT Ford GT. It was about 91 degree weather throughout the whole day, and there were some strong winds. Regardless, it was an amazing day. An very impressed with the results. Our cars ran on stock tires, 93 gas, and the road surface was the same as any road, not a prep'ed track.

We took the 2010 GT3 (Akrapovic race system/BMC air filter/Preliminary Evoms software) and a 2009 LP-560 (Stock). We are schedule to do 30-40 dyno pulls on the GT3 on Saturday, in order to truly customize the Evoms tune. Everyone was complementing on the sound of our GT3 with the Akrapovic race system

Best 997.2 GT3 times and speeds:

Video of the above results:

Best LP-560 times:

We also took a Gallardo Superleggera (stock) which did:
1/4 mile in 11.503s @ 115.207 mph
1 mile in 30.278s @ 161.381 mph
Vid and slip to be added later.

Awesome!

Just curious though, how does the LP560 traps 130mph down the 1320 but only beats GT3's top speed by a merely 5mph where the GT3 trapped 118mph?

Vmax is dependent on a lot more than horsepower.

GT1...excellent numbers...congrats!

The LP560 used launch control in that run, and it's awd. No matter how I launched, even if I had a mis shift, or what the 1/4 trap time or speed, my top speed was about the same 169.x mph. I always entered the 1 mile maker at the top of 5th gear. Gearing plays a bit part.

It's not so much the launch as it is the drag with those wings we have Our 3.9 was dead on every time at 176mph in the mile no matter how it left/launched so you did well. Congrats!

Yup, that too. I forgot to say that

The shop that did my alignment (TuneRS) 2 days before, commented about it, and said they could adjust it to a neutral position, but we didn't get a chance too

Thanks!

So the 2010 GT3s are no joke from what I'm seeing, much less the 2010 turbos. I was surprised as well seeing the LP560s top speed in the mile but I do remember those cars are all acceleration gears mostly but still that GT3 looks like it was moving up on the LP from the stats...

any clue what the 3.9 runs in the 1/4?

and any idea how much the top speed in the 1 mile run would increase without a rear wing?
