hate the intakes. will look really ugly in red too. roof and hood are ok but should have c/f wingblade to balance the look imo.

overall, kinda looks like an aftermarket kit??? gemballa??? gen1 at 140-150k lookin reaaalll good right about now! i'm guessing u could get at least 5sec at ring with better suspension set up and tires...

still having a hard time digesting the changes. can one of your technical guys help? why widen the front track? car has propensity to oversteer as it is, do u really need more front end grip? and why lighten the hood? all the weight issues are at the rear of the car. i guess we know how they get so much weight off with hood/roof/seats, prob the bulk of it right there.

so u have a lower center of gravity AND more weight swinging the car around from the rear! how do you get lower ring times? i guess you just push the chassis even further and pump up the power (note to you wet sump lovers, you won't be able to do this after the gt1 block is done) and then to compensate you widen the track, put on fatter tires, lower it and give it some aero like that rear diffuser suggests. i'm guessing the pasm is even more active in this scenario cause i'm sure with that much power u can easily overcome the level of mechanical grip.

kush is infamous around these parts
You've got to be impressed by how much they keep squeezing out of this flat 6. How many times have you read "it's done", they can't get anything more out of it and will have to adjust the model to compete? All this while reducing weight and emissions, and increasing fuel efficiency. This is true engineering.

Very true, they still have 3.8 and 4.0 liters to go!

They just need to be done with it and give us a 4.0 with 880 bhp before the horsepower wars are deemed illegal!

All of the 911 style Cars when tracked, lack front end grip..It's why you see GT3 RS Cars with 265 or 275's at the front... it's a way to dial out the inherent understeer the Cars have when steady state cornering and on corner entry and powering out of corners... What YOU are talking about is the power on oversteer that is caused by massive amounts of power/throttle input, overwhelming the rear end grip capabilities of the Turbo Porsches.

Porsche typically under tires and under cambers their Turbo 911 style Cars at the front to build in a safety margin for their customers that are not ready for the way the boost kicks in... understeer is inherently safer than oversteer and so when you get in over your head into or through a corner, the Car's nose will plough wide and scrub off speed, allowing you to regain control over the Car.

The GT2 and the GT3 have almost identical suspension components, BUT... the Factory dials in way less camber on the front end of the GT2 to cause understeer. The GT3 RS Cars come with way more front end Camber than the other models, because Porsche recognizes that they will most likely be used by people who want the Car to handle well right out of the box. The amount of suspension adjustability that the higher end Porsches have is amazing... Coilovers that are completely adjustable for height, compression, rebound, fully adjustable swaybars, a ton of camber adjustment, etc, etc.

Understeer is also inherently SLOW around a track, so those of us that track the Cars are always fighting for more front end grip. That's why you see the Porsche race cars running -4.0 degrees of camber up front.. to get more grip.

yup i stand corrected. oversteer from rear tires breaking loose from power isn't the same as understeer from the set up. duh!

my turbo has cup car control arms to create 2 deg of camber up front and spacers all around to combat the UNDERSTEER that the cars come from the factory with. guess the answer was right in front of me the whole time!

cheers

Porsche's require a different driving style because of relative lack of front end grip especially stock, this car has modify me into an insane track beast written all over it! Heck I would keep the engine stock while under warranty as well!

I do believe the ACR and the ZR1 both have more in them as far as " Ring " times but still that doesn't change the fact that the GT2 is now KING of the " RING"
