2011 GT3 RS coming w/ 33 extra HP!!

Very interesting but again...time will tell (three weeks away for 2011 cars)
BelMaseto, when you are saying "no for immediate release" are you saying that those upgrades (that supposedly add up to 33 HP) will not be added to the 2011 Gt3 RS and will be offered in the next generation GT3 or will be offered later in this model year??
My (very large US) dealer is saying the upgrades are coming in the 2011 GT3 RS. He was very sure of his information...I know it also sounds very improbable but I have head of crazier statements from dealers.

Coincidentally, I just found out that one allocated GT3 RS that is currently finishing production was changed from a 2010 model to a 2011. I seriously doubt (in accordance with some earlier responses) that such a major upgrade would be part of a rolling assembly line change. Then again, Porsche never ceases to amaze me with how they always manage to suprise us (for the most part) with product changes/introductions.

I wasn't posting about the dealer mark-ups. I was responding to the absolute BS about the .2 MY11 RS getting another 33 hp over the MY10 RS and GT3. There is no way that's going to happen.
As far as people paying anything over sticker, well... I think that's just plain silly of the people paying and the dealers.

And on a personal note, I also agree with the absurdity of the whole 'over sticker' buying process. However, if people will pay it, dealers will continue to accomodate such offers.

I will also go out on a very strong limb and say that Porsche would not re-label the 2011.
It's much more plausible that the RS/GT3 (2010s and 2011s) are making 2-4% more than the claimed power but that's about it.

Agreed, ABSOLUTE BS!
Even dyno-ing a 2011 would prove nothing unless a 2010 with similar miles and break in procedure was dyno-ed on the day and machine; and I'd still expect some variance.

As for the HP myth... the dealer is filling you full of . There is no telling what the HP increase will be on the 2011's.. if any!
