Last 2010 997.2 GT3 Cup Allocated to GMG
We are pleased to announce that Porsche Motorsport NA allocated the last 2010 GT3 Cup to GMG to contest the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge GT Championship and bring the fight to the Vipers, Corvettes and Volvo's.
As many of you know Stoptech/GMG was the first team to recieve there 2010 Cup earlier this year and we were also the first team to score a overall win in a pro multimake series ( St.Petes World Challenge GT) with a 2010 GT3 Cup.
Here are a few shots..
Enjoy!

What do you do with the motor? How much HP, how long can James run it, etc? I have been thinking of asking Porsche for one, but I want a car with longevity that is not a ton of maintenance. Was just wondering what you did to the car for racing besides some fancy paint.

GMG WC GT3 Cup Car
Thanks a lot and good luck to GMG for the remainder of the 2010 season. I will not be able to make the race at Watkins Glen but I will be rooting for the Porsche team all the way. BTW what will happen to the current shop car?

Unfortunately the Cup cars are not street legal but they make one hell of a race car!
These motors go about 50 hours from the factory and then it's time to freshen them. The new 2010 Cup makes 450 hp and then we install our GMG racing headers and exhaust and it bumps it up nicely.
For WC, we can upgrade the suspension, brakes, clutch, gearbox, body panels, etc......and we do all that in-house and then go test it all.
I am pretty pumped about driving the new 2010 car but will miss my current 2008 Cup car as that car is like your favorite pair of shoes........fits so nice and always makes you feel good......most of the time!
For anyone interested in buying my 2008 WC 997 Cup, drop me an email and I can send you all the specs.
See you all at the next race!
