The F40 is a real car. CGT is a great car but modern

 

These two cars shouldnt be even compared.... if I recall correctly- the f40 doesnt even have any AC, radio,etc....

The F40 does have an AC. It doesn't have a radio though but it, really, doesn't need it.
The F40 has a presence like no other super car. I've seen it parked next to an Enzo and a Mclaren F1 and it still beats them on looks. The F40 is a race car and it never pretends to be anything but that.
The CGT is as close to perfection as there can be. It's a tough decision to choose between them.

As for the Topic, I'm not even going to try. Whichever you buy, you will drive it as much as you feel comfortable. My 968 cab is the garage queen, and I drive the TT. The TT will pobably depreciate enough that I could have bought another 968, but the smiles per hour worth it.

Having spent considerable time behind the wheel of both cars.. I can say for me the F40 will always be the last "real"ferrari. It was the last car Enzo himself was involved in......

The Carrera GT is a car like no other... I have not experianced any clucth issues like some have reported.. The car is head turner anywhere you go........... Even in Newport Beach where it seems like everyone has a 360 or a 996TT....

They shouldnt be compared they should be enjoyed and appreciated for what they are........ Marvels of the automotive world............ Expressions of what can be done when the bean counters dont have involvement........

F40 does have A/C and it happened to be really goos. It has no door panels though just straps...

 

Driving my CGT is a perpetual adrenaline rush, that takes hours to resolve after stepping away from the car. I've owned '99 M3, '01 M5 Dinan, '01 996 C4 and '04 996 TT X-50 and none of these cars generated the internal excitement (read visceral response) of the CGT. Having never driven a F-car I can't offer a comparison, but the CGT is a perfected Formula 1 car for the street.

I'm respectful of the CGT and the awe it inspires form onlookers
