Le Mans: Congrats Porsche!

Team Felbermayr Proton and their 997 GT3 RSR (drivers: Lieb/ Lietz/Henzler) won the GT2 class, 11th place overall, congrats!

awesome! Audi is back in the LMP1, Just one GT3RSR retired compared to many Ferrarris and C6R shows how good these cars are.

Yip... was a good result for Porsche, stole it from that 430... These Audi's were bulletproof... Had about 2/3 hours sleep last night, stayed up to watch it.

Incredible. Dominated Peugeot again. Nicely done, Audi.

How did they dominate Peugeot? The Audis could not keep up w/ Peugeot for most of the race, just like last year. Even the non-factory Oreca was ahead of them. Whatever reliability Peugeot had last year did not translate this year.

Ummm....Audi swept 1,2,3. None of the 4 Peugeot's even finished. I call that domination. Who cares if Audi was slower. It only matters IF you finish.

I wouldn't call that domination if you needed somebody to fail in front of you. Olivier Panis' win of the 96 Monaco GP, Fisichella's win in 03 Interlagos, and Ferrari's only win in 2005 and Indianapolis were not exactly dominating drives.

And the "again" part; Peugeot owned Audi last year by both speed and reliability.

Difference of opinion.

They were ahead on pace but the Audi motor was built to last the distance, they think that Peugeot had to up the ante this year and this was translated into the motor/car being so quick, downside was that that it was a pushing the limit and a bit more unreliable compared to the Audi's

GT 2 class win is provisional. May be a tech issue?

Source? I haven't heard of this. This would give Farnbacher and Hankook a huge upset win if Porsche fails tech.

from the ten tenths forum.

Concernant le contrôle des moteurs des 2 premières GT2
Cette demande entraîne les conséquences suivantes
Suspension du classement scratch à partir de la 1ere GT2

or in english by google translate

Concerning the control of engines first 2 GT2
This application has the following consequences
Suspension of the overall classification from the first GT

I looked on the ACO site and did not see any issues

Congrats to Audi. I'm ready to see Porsche go for overall again.
