I want to switch to PCCB for street. For track events, I will get a second set of steel rotors that fits the PCCB.

My rear steel rotors are in perfect conditions. The front ones have grooves and I will provide a new pair for the front.

My red seat belts could be part of the trade if your GT2/GT3 has yellow seat belts.

Why would you rather PCCB for street use over steels?

They dont stop the car any faster this has been debated over and over if you have the new Porsche Christophylis (spelling sorry it is 6:30 am) see info on the PCCBII main benifits
no fade due to heat, reduction of unsprung weight (this too me is the #1 thing) and other things however the stopping distances of steel vs PCCB are the same as well they dont stop any better

The car will handle better. Let's face it...there is no denying the unprung weight advantage of pccb vs steel. On the street they would probably last just fine...

I agree with rockit weight savings is one of the huge +'s anything below the spring multiply by 4 compared to above hte spring....ie if each corner of weight with PCCB saves 10 lbs ( I dont know the figure I think it is much greater) then it is 40lbs of sprung weight you would have to remove to get the same effect.

That's exactly my desire. Weight reduction. I want to take my car to the next level. Right now it weighs 3030 lbs with 1/8th of gas tank. It was 3110 lbs brand new on the same conditions.

Stage II

- Center Console Delete, Radio Delete, speakers delete.
- Champion RG5 9" and 11". or used BBS Mag 1-piece
- PCCB
- Lighweight battery.

The car should be below 2900 lbs

My current options to get PCCB:

1.- Buy used first generation rotors from a GT2/GT3 owner looking to upgrade to second generation rotors.

2.- Exchange my steel rotors and calipers with a GT2/GT3 owner looking to install steel brakes (most likely for track use).

3.- Buy brand new PCCB rotors from Porsche, front and rear calipers and mounting brackets, and sell the GT3 brakes to a Porsche Boxster/996/997 owner looking to upgrade brakes.

I was asking NJ because I am curious as to what his goal is not to debate with him, and they will be just fine on the streets, PCCB on the GT2 here with only street use and no reported problems to date.

Here's a nice lead for ya!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW

Includes more than you need, so maybe you can get the seller (it didn't sell as a kit) to sell just PCCB to you! If he was ok with 8k for the set, he might go for 4-5k for just the PCCB.

Sounds like the diet is going well, GT3 seats also save weight...

Seats are already in, as well as GT3RS Flywheel and clutch assembly.
