For "LOUD EXHAUST!" hahahah....

Was cruising down the hwy side by side with a Cop, a wall of traffic started behind us and in front of us... It was like I had my own police escort down the road. So we cruised for about 4 or 5 miles down the road and the cop whipped it behind me and hit his lights... So I pulled off the hwy to a safe side street off the service road and turned the engine off. He walked up to the window and was clearly pissed off. He said turn it back on and rev it to 2K. I said okay did it and he started yelling at me saying that's way too loud give me your DL!!!!

So a few min later he jumps out of his car storms over to the front and points at me "You don't have a front plate!" (As if I was unaware of that... ) I said that's right there are no holes drilled to mount it so he said take it to the body shop!

Went back to his car for another 10 min, came back and said "Your car was annoying me on the hwy and that's why I pulled you over, where did you put that illegal exhaust on your car??" I said at Porsche... lol So I guess he thought I was lying to him because he asked me again and I gave him the same answer and said I don't know what you’re after however this was installed at a Porsche dealer and it passes emissions.

So then he scolded me saying there are a lot of people between here and your house that are going to unhappy with your car! I bet your neighbors get really upset with you... I said no not at all and as a matter of fact every time I come or go my neighbors little son comes running out to listen to the car because he loves it. When I pull out of my neighborhood and neighbors are outside they wave and give me the big thumbs up. All of the kids beg me to rev it for them.... So I guess that had to be BS as well because he asked me the same question again 4 more times and he got the same answer 4 more times....

Then he said this car is way too loud for the streets. I said it’s not any louder than any of those bikes that have been going by all night. (Thursday nights are bike nights so the whole time I am getting drilled for a loud car sport bikes are flying by one after another wide open) He did not like that at all and threatens to call a state trooper to perform tests on my car and should it not pass he was going to take away my drivers license… WOW, because that was necessary… I simply smiled and said look I don’t want any trouble however it’s clearly up to you to do whatever you want so just tell me what you want me to do. So he handed me a ticket and said you seem like a smart guy and I have to put up with a lot of annoying things so take care of this ticket and set a court date.

 

Holy crap! That would annoy the sh*t outta me. It sounds like you handled it well. I got pulled for an aftermarket exhaust (it was factory AND quiet) because he thought my exhaust tips were too big. He didn't know it came that way...

I'm glad some officers really care about such things, and keep my streets safer.

 

Ya what are you going to do... No point in debating with a Cop. It does not matter if they are right or way wrong. No way to defend yourself really. Just have to take a beating and move on sometimes.... I take comfort in knowing within 30 min I will be back on down the road with a big smile on my face because I love my car and the way she sounds...

Cop was just showing his muscle. On the way downtown I was rolling next to 2 cop cars and one of them waved as I went by him. A minute later I was surronded by 6 race bikes and neither of the 2 cops did anything other then watch us roll down the hwy. Now that was loud! 6 race bikes and my car all next to each other... Was amazing!

This other cop just did not like it when I was rolling home later and wanted to let me know it..

 

Hahahaha... Too funny because I did for a good while after he let me go. He knew which way I had to go home and he took the same route. I would slow down to put some distance between us so he would slow way down to wait for me.... I figure he was trying to get me setup with a trooper down the way to see if he could get me on something else so I took an early exit and took side road

 

I do... If I had his job I would want to check out the cool cars however there is no need to be aggressive with someone that is clearly being calm and cool. They are there to help and deescalate a situation however more and more I see them all jacked on adrenalin looking for an excuses to be over the top... Sad really

 

The SW system sounds amazing.

 

And LEOs wonder why they get a bad rap...

 

sorry cops are ridiculous sometimes. i got the sharkwerks center bypass and want the Track exhaust ... but have been debating it. It must sound like heaven! any vids?

That was a 2.5 mile long airstrip so just imagine how far away a cop can actually be to hear it:P

By the way once I was in downtown there is an area with a bunch of bars restaurants ect... One is known for "talent" as I drove by there were about 15 amazing woman in their little dresses standing out by the valet, so of course I had to let the Shark have a bite and said hello... I think they screamed as loud as or louder than the GT3 roared! lol.... A few run-ins with the PD is soooooo worth it....
