Picked up a 996 GT3 yesterday
#47
Even pristine cars may have been to the track once or twice. But this would not keep me away from a 6GT3, as these things are pretty much bullet proof. However, there are some tell-tale signs of being on the track that almost anyone can verify pretty easily:
-td
- heat cracks in OEM steel rotors - front or rear (although this car appears to have PCCB)
- PCCB optioned car now with steel rotors
- slotted steel front rotors
- upgraded or replaced splitter [check mounting spots]
- upgraded or replaced brake ducts [check mounting spots]
- upgraded brake pads [e.g., P50 for PCCB, RS19/29 for steel]
- balled up rubber in the fender liners
- balled up rubber in the radiator openings [just reach your hand in and feel around]
- underbody scrapes or missing aero
- rubber streaks on paint or windshield
- upgraded drop links, toe links, dog bones
- carpet cut outs for roll bar
- wheel studs
- "no seat belt" warning chime disabled
- over -2.5 negative camber
- 4 or 8 degree wing shims on (or in included with car)
-td
And as to the tell tale signs... spot on! My car ticks all the above! damn... hahaha

Yeah, Sharkwerks had a thread on my car last month, roll bar, brakes, tubi exhaust, ecu, suspension goodies, fire extinguisher, euro seats, 6pt harness. Heading to Thunderhill tomorrow to test her out.
