Nt01

I run Nitto NT01 on my 997.1 GT3, 245/18 front, 315/18 rear, with no problems at all, both at the full 4.5 mile Miller track, and at High Plains. Never any ABS issues or other alerts. I run in advanced groups, pushing relatively hard (but not to extreme limits of the car). At least for me, they have worked fine.

What are your goals? That should be the first question.

Hoosier are the best of the best. R6 in hot weather and A6 in cold weather. Highest performance, short lasting. Longer lasting with good DE performance would be MSPC. Little pricey but good feed back and will last longer.

18" wheels offer the best choices buy far and may cost less. I run 245's and 335's on 18" wheels on my 11' RS.

Also keep in mind some tire manufactures offer contingency programs for some events. That should also be a factor when choosing tires.

There is a fitment issue that can cause a limp mode response from the DME in the tire sizes that are available for 997 P car fitment.

I ran 245 40 18 front and 315 30 18 in the rear on my 997.1 C2S and got limp mode on track. The size differential of these tires is off by about .5 inches, comparred to stock fitments, and this causes an OBD error code: "Torque Comparison Function Motion Signal Implausible".

I'm switching to R888's in 245 40 18 front and 305 35 18 rear which gets the sizes back to within .1 of stock ratio.
I wonder if the Carrera cars are more sensitive to tire overall diameters than the GT3 cars? I've heard of this issue with Carrera's but not GT3.

Just like at Daytona the high NASCAR banking will put a Carrera into a bunch of fault modes where the GT3 is not as affected.

Hi.

I ran the 245/40 and 315/30 NT-01's on my 997.1 C2 with no issues.
I have not tried it on my 997.2 GT3 for fear that it would have fault codes with the diameter in the front being larger than the rear.
Has anyone tried the combo on a .2 GT3?

I am running the Yokohama Advan. They are made with orange oil instead of petroleum products. Incredible traction and similar HC to the Hoosiers. They are non DOT tires and are really light on GMG wheels. All spells great times and big smiles.

Stock tire diameter is the SAME between Carrera and GT3 cars. NT01 will work on GT3 as I've seen these tires on GT3 at the track with zero issues.

Thanks. I'm aware of the stock diameters, as I have both cars. I was curious as to whether the cars may react differently (fault codes) to the larger front diameter. Glad to hear that you've seen them on the GT3. I might give it a shot when R6s cycle out.
