GT2 RS Update!!!!

Yeah, me too. I'd be more than willing to sneek my way in there just to take a look at these things up close and in action. The Monterey area seems to be a popular place for PCNA debuts/media stuff so it makes sense to be a Laguna Seca.
So, does this mean that you did get an allocation? Or are you still waiting in line with other prospective buyers?

Funny how Porsche wants to have the debut in California (at a Mazda race track no less maybe) when it seems Barber ( were the Porsche school is) would be a much better choice.

I want a ride when you get it... We should take the cars out to make some videos when you get it.... Hell we should do that with any one of your cars now!
I am going to get one of those go pro cameras...http://www.goprocamera.com/products/...ero-camera.php

I've heard they have been spoken for. Not paid for. At 137 cars, this is rare. Maybe they don't fall in value so fast.

Bingo!

I would still go if they had it in a cow pasture, but Barber seems the logical marketing choice. In their defense, Barber is not really a high speed track. There are others that are better. Surely they want to showcase 620 HP. It would shock me That we didn't meet on an airport runway.

If I'm not mistaken, the rev limiter on this video is at 8250. I'm not sure if that is Euro and it is a diff number, or if we get the same rev limit. That is way higher than the current GT2, and gets close to the RS.

Turbo motors typically don't need or want to rev, so the GT2RS will be a totally different driving stlye than the GT3RS. You are going to want to short-shift the heck out of the 2RS to exercise it properly. It might be able to rev higher than most turbo motors, but the power lives low/mid as can be seen on the hp/tq graph on Porsche's website.
Creamy, delicious torque FTW
Congrats on the allocation! Woo-hoo.

No joke. My 08 GT2 had 650 HP, and you had to shift early to avoid redline. It comes faster than you can react and shift. It took some mastering to shift at the right spot to avoid banging the limiter.
Thanks on the Tach info. I had no clue, but now it makes more sense. I figured there was no way we got that rev limit.
