I run the R888 and love them. Zero complaints. Good prices, good heat cycles and IMO predictable characteristics. I use to be a Pirelli Corsa staunch believer (great in the wet) until their prices went to the stratosphere. $h!t $650 for a 325/30/19!
Fukin A nutz!
The MPSC's are very expensive, take longer to come up to running temps and in the wet they SUCK. They are down right dangerous unless you wish to trash your car.
If it is between these two tires the choice IMO is a slam dunk ... the R888's all day long.
Now there are other choices but that was not your question.
Best of luck with the choices.

I am thinking of switching to R888.....when I burn up my Sport Cups
Do you run 19's....I have heard form a few wheel guys to stick with 19's since the new breed of tires will be mostly 19"

As an aside, the R888's are what Heffner puts on his monster TT motor builds. Ben (Wheels Botique) was telling me since he gets them the tires.
Actually I hope Toyo releases a 325/30/19.
btw Alex are you going to the Champion event at PBIR?

Thanks Ranger. I was debating between these and the RE-11's as my next tire when the PS2's wear out..
Justin already has my form
Looks like it's going to be a great event and you just can't beat that price

I've heard the Pirelli Trofeo's are nice but they are way too much money for track tires.
I use either Ra1's (you have to shave them to 5/32's though due to the small tread blocks wiggle) but just switched back to R888 because I do not have to shave them.

I am more than satisfied with the R888's in the wet. I keep them on all the time. I've driven in a absolute savage downpour and at highway speeds (70-80 mph) not a wiggle or funny stuff.

They have this weird humming noise when at highway speeds. It's not that you can't live with it, but you know it's there.
I was in a huge tire conundrum and took Mr. Drum's advice on the R888's. They seem to be a a great tire for the money and are amazingly very predictable in the rain. I went through a nasty florida storm on the way back from sebring and the rear end didn't so much as wiggle.
I will continue running these until Nitto makes some NT-01's in GT3's sizes
