Can you let us know what that translates to in terms of HP at the crank?

Thanks.

If we use 15% drive train loss, that comes to around 483 HP at the crank. Should we use less drive train loss for 911's?

For GT3's, the factory says 8%-10%. I've heard tuners say 12%-15%...

Its a mystery

BTW, the OP's results are in STD, not SAE. SAE would be about 395 whp.

Do you think this is roughly in line with the factory hp rating for the gt3?

The GT3 engines are hot dyno'ed at the factory, to ensure they put out at least 100-105% of the 435 hp factory claim, so it make sense that most 997.2 GT3's are putting down 395-400 whp SAE (about 440 crank hp @ 10% factory claim drivetrain loss). If drivetrain loss really is more than 10%, then the motors are under rated (which is great), but at the end of the day, all that matters is wheel HP, not crank HP.

So, yes.

In comparison, the 997.1 GT3/RS put down 365 whp SAE. The 997.2 GT3 is putting down 30-35 whp more than the 997.1 GT3, although the 997.2 GT3 supposedly only has 20 crank hp more... All this is great; Im not complaining

Wow, just another reason that it seems Porsche really under estimates their power figures from factory.

Thanks GT1. This does make sense. The 3.8 should be making more than 20 crank HP over the 3.6. Also, the acceleration capacity of the 997.2 GT3 being similar to the 997tt seems to support this.
