Took delivery 3 weeks ago of my new GT3 and I had the dealership install my new radar detector. I had the Escort 9500ci in my prior 911 and because of issues I had replacing the main brain several times and Escort is'nt the easiest company to work with I decided to go with K40's new RL360 radar detector because of a recommendation from a friend who had it installed on his 911 turbo. In 3 weeks I have been saved 4 times one of which I was going about 120mph and luckily this radar has great range and it gave me plenty of time to slow down to the posted speed. I also love there version of GPS features they added to this system, I think they add value tords not getting a speeding ticket versus a " Cool Feature " like some. Paticulary ther " Quiet Ride " That feature allows me to set a specific spped on the radar detector and as long as I am going under that set speed it illiminates the volume on the alerts and when driving through towns it makes it a great system to drive with illiminating a lot of the falses you get from the banks and things like that.

Does it have the laser diffuser? If you don't mind saying, how much was it installed?
Enjoy the GT3, i know how hard it is to keep it at the posted speeds, the car just keeps winding.

Thanks and yes I catch myself exceeding the limits everday. Yes I got the full kit which includes the RL360 front and rear radar detector and the EX2 dual laser defusers and installed it was about $2,000 which is"nt bad compared to some.

I got pulled over last night on in the canyon, cops had already pulled someone over. They got in front of my car with flashlights told me just to stop and park. He told me to give him the keys and get out...says he heard me from mile away (i was going but not racing) and i said thats how the car is stock, he says you were speeding I said no, was just in 1st gear so its loud. He ends up giving me a no front plate ticket hands me my papers and drives off. DRIVES OFF WITH MY KEY!!!! I had to call the police station and have them radio these guys to come back, as im standing at the edge of the canyon holding a flashlight so nobody hits me and left blinkers on car hoping nobody comes speeding and wrecks my car! Took them about 20mins to come back

I also have the have K40's new RL360 Radar Detector, I swapped out my 9500 unit for this new one and from what I have experienced this K40 is by far a superior unit not only with it's performance but the GPS features they have really make this systm fun to drive with.

Also a Blinder & V1 user but got my first LASER ticket ever a few months ago. Both the Blinder and V1 went off as he tagged me but still got the ticket and for a bit faster than I was really going.


For those with laser jammers, how do you guys know that they are actually working after install? With detectors its easy to tell but I felt iffy with the Blinder jammer after that incident
