My new toy - 2010 Cup!
#16
Thank you guys! I am so stoked! I am ready to be humbled by it's awesomeness. But my goal is to conquer the beast and have a blast doing it. I have no expectations. Plus, the guys in POC and PCA are serious and legit drivers (many are professionals). So the whole racing aspect is going to be a wake-up call for sure.
GT3Ranger: The car will be maintained and supported by GMG, along with my brother-in-law's '08 RSR. James Sofronas will be my driving instructor. He's going to whip me into shape! If I can be a fraction as good as he is, I'll be one happy camper! The guys at BBI are awesome, but we wanted to keep the cars on 1 place. And GMG made the most sense for the both of us.
Rev_2_8k: Two cups? now that's baller status!
German RS: Sick ride man! That wrap is insane!
Jack667: Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like he went in too hot and got passed on the inside by Schein! Please post more!
The car is being transported from Kelly-Moss to GMG at the end of this week. Once it gets here, I post photos!

Sadly, with this new acquisition, I have no need for my RS. So I am selling her.... This car has been a 2-year project to create the ultimate RS! One that can drive to and from the track and dominate. And it does just that!
Here's the listing:

I would love to keep it in the 6speed family! It is priced to sell. See other goodies For Sale at the bottom of the post.
Cheers - Laguna_Dude

If you have driven the Cup a couple of times you´ll forget the RS very very fast...
It´s so much more fun then the street-car... And it´s soch much faster... The first time I drove the Cup my head always wanted to tell me that I´m heavily too fast... But it went through the corners like it has been on rails.
After a couple of Laps I was faster then ever before... It was such a great pleasure to play with the car in the corners.
You did the right thing... I´ll promise...
I´m planning to go to some Racetracks in the US with the car next year... I always wanted to drive in Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta. Maybe we´ll see us there. The Nordschleife gets a bit boring after going there nearly every weekend this year.
Greetings

Jack667, Thanks for sharing the photos! I could only find a few online. It still hasn't hit me yet, as the car is not here. It should arrive on 22nd.
gt34me, Full comparo coming. My RS is much faster than stock in terms of handling abilities... has full RSR suspension. But I can't wait to feel the difference!
Rev_2_8k, Thanks! I love my RS. I am sad to see her go. Who knows, if no one bits, I may just keep her.
Mobonic, Thanks! DR's RSR (aka Killer Whale) is ridiculous! I actually looked at 2 RSRs on the market, but in the end, wanted the 2010 Cup. Seems like a more reasonable step up for me at this point.

Thanks Fabryce! I agree! She'd look good in shop. But even better on the track. Offer?

George,
I can't wait to see your face on Dec 2nd when you get out of the Cup car and pull your helmet off after your first few laps.....
We (GMG) are excited that you are bringing your Cup car to us as we certainly know how to get you prepared for racing duties in the near future.
The 2010 Cup is such a strong car and it will quickly have you asking why you didn't do this years ago.
We will take great care of you and make sure you work your way up to speed in a careful and safe manner but at the same time maximize your with our full Data Acquisition and Motec coaching modules.
See ya soon buddy,
