With the success that our 3.9L kits for the GT3s have seen over the past couple of years, the word has been spreading. Thanks to Sharkwerks, Excellence Magazine, Supercars Exposed, Battle of the Supercars, 6Speed Online and all of the other online enthusiast communities, our Sharkwerks/EVOMS 3.9L kit piqued the interests of a 997 GT3 customer in Singapore. He shipped the engine to our location in Tempe, AZ and we got to work. Here's a few shots I thought you guys might enjoy from the project:

After the motor was torn down, everything was meticulously cleaned, spec'd and prepared for assembly:











Then the fun begins... ASSEMBLY!:

Fully assembled and ready for the trip back to Singapore:


Once it made the trip, the longblock was completed and installed into the car with our EVOMS SRE Stage 3 Clutch (which was balanced with the rotating assembly), and the Sharkwerks Center Muffler Bypass Pipe. Here are a few pictures of the completed car:

Guys, its actually in Singapore. Saw the car under the knife here.....

And the guy actually lives around my neighbourhood, just need to try it out....

 

I sort of hope my motor blows so i can have a legitimate reason to buy this kit.

 

Would you guys consider sending technicians outstation?

 

How much is the kit? It may be an option for me if I get an early 997 GT3. Also..wondered if the rear deck on the 2010-2011 (new wing assembly) might be a direct bolt on to an earlier 997 GT3 or did Porsche move the mounts or make it something that won't work?

If your motor blows or you want more displacement, give Sharkwerks and Evoms a call, their kits are proven... Do your research and choose carefully, there are a lot of smoke and mirror shops out there.
